Buck Gillette, Chairman -  With serious deliberations, the S.O.R.C. Race Committee has reluctantly made the decision to postpone the 2011 Race from Fort Lauderdale to Charleston.  It is our intent to review a 2012 date to run alternate years with the Pineapple Cup, which is scheduled for 2011.  As your Race Chairman and our Charleston host, Crayton Walters from the Carolina Yacht Club, we look forward the possibility of a 2012 date.  We all agree that Charleston is truly one of the great destinations with it's Gulf Stream Challenge, history, and great entertainment.
